Kingston | New York Pilsner

Blue Duck Brewing Company

A brand new beer style! Brewing is an ancient trade, and beer is an ancient beverage, so it's not everyday that something brand new comes along. Pilsner is the most widely consumed beer style in the world, and New York deserves its own version. The Czech Republic has a Pils, Germany of course has one, Italy and New Zealand have thrown their hat in the ring, and the West Coast has also claimed their version. Blue Duck has thoughtfully crafted a Pilsner that is unique, but also pays homage to the style with respect to the early processes that lead to this great style.

We use 100% New York Grown Barley, Corn, and Hops. We decided to do this to highlight the vibrant agricultural landscape that New York offers. Every dollar spent on making this beer stays in New York, and when the customer buys it from us, we are able to put the money back into the business, right here in New York. Keeping our supply chain small, and making a familiar, clean crisp beer helps all New Yorkers in the long run. Blue Duck is committed to growing the New York beer scene, and we are the first to create New York Pilsner. It would a great honor to win this award for Coolest Thing Made in New York, and it would highly the legitimacy of this beer style that will hopefully become one of our greatest exports!

Brooklyn | SuperStar Bags

Ciao Amore Studio

This bag was born in New York and made entirely by my hands.

From choosing the fabrics to cutting, quilting, sewing, and even embroidering the label, I make every bag from start to finish in my small studio. Each one takes between 10 and 20 hours to complete. The design is inspired by a mix of a sea star and a simple doodle—something playful, unexpected, and impossible to ignore. I wanted to create a bag that makes people smile before they even know how practical it is. Made with cotton inside and out and a soft quilted filling, it's roomy enough for work, the beach, yoga, picnics, or everyday adventures. There's also a smaller version for carrying just the essentials. The little star arms double as pockets for keys, earbuds, coins, and all the tiny things that usually get lost. The quilting gives it structure while keeping it soft enough to use as a pillow in the park, and because it's made from cotton, it's machine washable and ready for real life. I designed this bag for everyone. It doesn't belong to one style, age, or gender—it belongs to anyone who appreciates thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and a little bit of fun. In a city that celebrates individuality, I wanted to create something bold, functional, and unmistakably joyful. Every stitch reflects the care, creativity, and spirit of making something by hand in New York City.

Bethpage | Original Counterfeit Detector Pen

Dri Mark Products Inc.

Dri Mark’s classic counterfeit detection pen tests for counterfeit bills by quickly authenticating genuine banknote paper.

Simple to use: Make a small mark on US currency. A clear/amber mark indicates US currency paper. A dark mark means the bill is probably counterfeit. Since currency paper stock is not available to the public, Dri Mark’s special ink authenticates the paper’s stock by color.

Manufactured in Dri Mark's Bethpage, New York facility on Long Island, this bill checker has been the standard in counterfeit detection for over 30 years. In 1991, Dri Mark purchased the patent for the first Counterfeit Detector Pen. This product quickly became the most popular counterfeit detection product in history and was the first of many patented innovative detection and security products which Dri Mark has brought to market.

The finish is of rich mango and lemon curd-- and we know it's just plain delicious! Watertown | PFAS Filtration Media

Knowlton Technologies, LLC

Clean water is one of the most urgent public health challenges of our time. At the heart of that challenge are PFAS — per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or "forever chemicals" — which persist in the environment and accumulate in the human body. Knowlton Technologies has developed a proprietary filtration media engineered to capture and remove these contaminants from drinking water, groundwater, and industrial process streams.

The media is manufactured on Knowlton's wet-laid nonwoven line at its facility in Watertown, New York — the oldest continuously operating manufacturing site in the state. In operation since 1808, the facility applies more than two centuries of industrial heritage to solving a modern environmental crisis. The wet-laid process enables precise control over fiber composition, pore structure, and surface chemistry, producing a high-performance filtration substrate with exceptional PFAS adsorption efficiency.

Knowlton supplies this media in bulk to strategic packaging partners who configure it into finished filters for residential, municipal, and industrial applications. Through those partnerships, the media reaches communities across the globe, delivering a scalable solution to the challenge of forever chemicals in our water.

What makes this product remarkable is the convergence of heritage and cutting-edge science: a proprietary formulation, produced on a 218-year-old line in upstate New York, tackling a 21st-century environmental crisis with every square yard of media that comes off the line.

Elma | Linear Actuator System

Moog Inc.

Imagine two spacecraft moving more than 14,000 miles per hour, each drifting up, down, and side to side; now picture them trying to connect perfectly and safely in space. Moog’s Linear Actuator System (LAS), manufactured in New York, is a major sub-system at the heart of NASA's Docking System (NDS). As an essential part of the Soft Capture System (SCS), the LAS enables the SCS to perform its job, making those seemingly impossible dockings possible.

The system uses six precision-engineered actuators, working together like a high-tech handshake. When the first actuator gently touches the International Space Station, the LAS triggers the others to move and adjust, helping the SCS guide the spacecraft into perfect alignment for a secure connection. That is remarkable, considering the spacecraft are not only moving forward; they're also floating, twisting, and shifting in every direction (what engineers call “six degrees of freedom”). The LAS works in tandem with the SCS to correct all these movements, ensuring everything comes together smoothly.

The true magic of the Soft Capture System lies in its ability to tame the chaos of motion and force. But none of that is possible without the LAS providing precise, multi-axis electromechanical control.

This New York-made innovation transforms a risky, high-speed rendezvous into a reliable connection. Vote for Moog’s Linear Actuator System, the coolest thing made in New York!

Albany | Space Force Cravat

Northeastern Association of the Blind (NABA)

From New York to the edge of space, precision meets purpose in one remarkable piece of craftsmanship.

The Guardians of the High Frontier—members of the United States Space Force—wear a New York-made cravat as part of their formal dress uniform. More than an accessory, this cravat represents excellence, innovation, and the future of national defense.

Each Space Force Cravat is manufactured in Albany by the Northeastern Association of the Blind (NABA) under a U.S. government contract. Produced by an integrated workforce of employees who are blind and sighted, every piece reflects meticulous attention to detail and unwavering quality.

What truly sets this cravat apart is how it is made. NABA has transformed traditional manufacturing by adapting sewing and packaging equipment with tactile guides and programmable technology. These innovations enable employees who are blind to produce each cravat with exceptional precision and consistency—meeting the rigorous standards of the U.S. military while redefining what inclusive manufacturing can achieve.

This is more than a uniform item. It is a symbol of opportunity, ingenuity, and American craftsmanship at its best.

Made in New York, worn in space service, and powered by integration—the Space Force Cravat proves that one of the coolest things made in New York is helping outfit those who protect us beyond our world.

An all-in-one, portable dust control solution that combines the separation efficiency of Oneida Air’s industry leading cyclonic designs with a powerful vacuum motor and premium HEPA-grade filter media. Amsterdam | Custom Stickers

Sticker Mule

Sticker Mule manufactures custom stickers in Amsterdam, New York. Every order is different: a different design, shape, size and quantity. Each sticker is cut precisely to the customer's artwork, whether they order ten or ten thousand. Anyone can upload a design at midnight and have finished stickers within days. Our stickers are printed on durable vinyl and laminated to resist fading and scratching. They withstand rain, sunlight and even the dishwasher. We also manufacture clear, holographic, glitter and fabric stickers, along with sticker packs, transfer stickers and vinyl lettering. Most factories become efficient by making the same item repeatedly. Sticker Mule does the opposite, processing a constantly changing mix of artwork, dimensions, materials and quantities. To make that possible, our in-house automation team designs, engineers and builds custom robotics from scratch. In just two years, we installed roughly 250 robots to increase capacity, improve efficiency and help keep manufacturing in the United States. Every order is reviewed and prepared by a human before printing. Our stickers help artists share their work, businesses build their brands and creators turn designs into products they can sell. Amsterdam was once known for manufacturing carpets. Although much of that industry has disappeared, Sticker Mule continues to build, invest and hire here, shipping millions of custom stickers across the United States and around the world. Most people who see our stickers never realize they were made in upstate New York. We'd love to change that.

Staten Island | Everlast Pole Tags

Tech Products, Inc.

Tech-3D Embossed metal nameplates. Our Tech-3D plates are made from stainless steel, brass, cold-rolled steel or aluminum. We take large tonnage presses up to 800 tons and press the metal between a male and female die steel. The die steel is also made right here is Staten Island. The metal then forms into the image, logo or name of the customer requests. We currently manufacture plates for Callahead (Picture shown), MTA, NYC DOT, motorcycle parts, trucks and many others. Tech Products Inc. was founded by Kenneth Nelson in 1948. After World War II he was looking to do something that would be unique and fulfilling. He found a small metal fabrication company in his hometown of Staten Island making valves for battleships. The company was struggling but had great machinery. Ken decided to repurpose it to make industrial nameplates and data plates for heavy equipment. In the 1980’s we continued to be a metal fabrication company but added injection molding capabilities. Ken and his engineering team produced a new idea for revolutionizing pole marking. His patented product would become the Everlast brand sold in thirty-one countries and throughout the USA.

Rochester | Check-Set Data Logger

Tel-Tru Manufacturing

Manufactured in Rochester, New York by Tel-Tru Temperature Solutions, the Check-Set® Data Logger is transforming how the food industry verifies thermometer accuracy and protects consumers.

For decades, food processors have relied on ice baths, boiling water, and handwritten logs to calibrate thermometers—methods that are inconsistent, time-consuming, and difficult to defend during food safety audits. With laboratory-grade accuracy of ±0.2°F (±0.1°C) and four built-in verification temperatures (32°F, 40°F, 160°F, and 212°F), the Check-Set captures time-stamped calibration data, operator information, and verification results with full NIST-traceable documentation. The digital audit trail eliminates paper records, reduces human error, and provides proof that food safety systems are under control.

Designed for real-world operations, the Check-Set features a touchscreen interface, user permissions, barcode support, automatic calibration reminders, calibration lockout protection, and simple data export. Compatible with most digital thermometer brands, it standardizes calibration procedures across facilities, shifts, and operators.

By replacing subjective manual processes with objective, documented verification, the Check-Set reduces the risk of failed audits, product recalls, regulatory action, and litigation.
